About the Class – Learn Spanish Democratically!
Our online high school Spanish class is designed to get teenagers speaking practical Spanish as soon as possible. Because all classes at The Pearl are a democratic learning experience, we teach our Spanish class without pointless worksheets or textbooks. No busy work here!
How does it work?
We teach our classes online, using Zoom, and they are open worldwide! Homeschool students who take classes at the Pearl are eligible to earn a WASC-Accredited US high school diploma. Even homeschool students who attend The Pearl from outside the US are still eligible to receive a US diploma. This makes the Pearl an excellent option for students who struggle in mainstream education.
The Pearl utilizes democratic education, meaning students are self directed and learn through the lens of the things they are passionate about. For example, in Spanish Class this might look like learning to talk about a hobby they are interested in. It could also include focusing on exploring the ways they might talk to their friends. This engages students far more than your typical Spanish workbook.
