Tuition Assistance for Arizona Homeschoolers

With the Arizona Empowerment Scholarship, homeschoolers from Arizona can now get their Pearl tuition up to 100% covered

This scholarship allows families to use their education tax dollars towards a school of their choice, empowering students to obtain an education where they can thrive. The Pearl Remote Democratic High School is happy to report that we are one of the program’s supported schools.

At The Pearl, we endorse student choice and are happy to work with families to ensure they get the support they need during the change from public school to a student-led homeschool partnership. Through our partnership with Angeles Workshop, students can earn an accredited high school diploma by taking courses at The Pearl.

We work extensively to decolonize our learning environment, uplifting Indigenous knowledge and perspectives. The Empowerment Scholarship program supports students living on a reservation in Arizona. As an online school, The Pearl can support Indigenous students while allowing them to stay near their families and communities.

Ever since I came to The Pearl, I've learned so much more than I've ever learned in traditional school. The Pearl gives me the space to learn in my own way and explore my interests.

I feel safe and welcomed at The Pearl. I feel like I belong here. I don't feel like I have to squish and shove myself into a uniform box to be integrated into a learning environment. I feel like a student, instead of a nail that needs to be hammered in. I feel like I'm learning and growing, and that my work here matters. This school is the closest thing to perfect.

The Pearl is a great place for kids who weren't getting what they needed from public school. I hope that more kids find out about it, because it can really change a kid's life when they need it most. I can't wait to watch this school grow.
